Ecole des Roches’, an international institute for young people, was founded by Messrs Marcel and Jean-Pierre Clivaz. During its first years, this establishment came to be well recognized throughout France and Italy. Five years later, students from Europe and the United States of America were attending the School. A few years later, an initial enrolment of 150 had risen to 220 students, from 60 different countries on five continents. Two other brothers, Roger and Francis, joined the family team. 1979
As a result of the prevailing worldwide economic conditions and a growing demand abroad, Les Roches International School became “Les Roches” Hotel and Tourism School with instruction in English.

Les Roches was virtually destroyed by a fire in April. Despite considerable destruction to the property and its contents, the School only lost one day of classes as arrangements were immediately made to house students and teaching facilities in three hotels in Montana, which were rented for a three-year period. Construction of entirely new buildings began in May 1986. In June 1987, the School moved into its new buildings.

It's small, looks vaguely familiar and, unlike most of Sony Ericsson's phones these days, doesn't come with any kind of special branding. But, for all its old-school charm, the T715 combines a solid set of up-to-date features with a stylish, understated design.
The T715's unfussy appearance and refreshingly uncomplicated operation match its no-nonsense name. It comes with 3G and HSPA support for fast data transfers, Internet browsing, video calls and the like. Web apps like Google Maps are included to take advantage of this, although they're somewhat tucked away within the handset's menus.
The phone's software should be familiar to anyone who has used a Sony Ericsson phone before. The T715 uses an updated version of the same interface that the manufacturer has been using for a while now on many of its low- and mid-range models
Sony Ericsson has entire product lines that are specifically aimed at music and photo buffs, and the T715 benefits from this, up to a point. Photo-wise, for example, there are traces of the manufacturer's Cyber-shot camera-phone brand. The T715 has a 3.2-megapixel image sensor and offers panoramic, burst-shoot and video modes. It's also possible to manually set the white balance.
Similarly, on the music front, it's possible to listen to MP3 and AAC files and tune into FM radio just as you can with a Walkman music phone, but many of the extended audio features are missing. Only around 90MB of on-board storage is available for your media but expansion is possible via a memory-card slot. The T715 supports the microSD format, giving up to 4GB of potential storage space. The slot is on the device's side, but gaining access necessitates removing the unit's back cover all the same.

The handset exudes an air of quiet distinction, distilling previous Sony Ericsson stylings and marrying shiny black plastic with silver or pink brushed aluminium. Slide the T715 shut and it's extremely small too, making it conveniently discrete, whether you're carrying it in a jacket pocket or a handbag. Battery life is fairly good. Real-world usage should see a full charge lasting at least 3 days.

Samsung Galaxy 5 is probably the cheapest well known Android phone in the market. It weighs really light, and the plastic casing makes it looks like it could split into pieces if one dropped it onto the floor. Samsung Galaxy 5 is powered by a 667MHz processor and runs on Android 2.1 (upgradeable to 2.2).
The smaller display has a negative impact on Web browsing. The Galaxy 5 also lacks multitouch support, meaning you can't pinch the screen to zoom in and out of applications like maps, the browser or photo albums. Other features include a built-in accelerometer, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a digital compass and a GPS receiver. The Samsung Galaxy 5 has a microSD card slot for extra storage, located behind the rear battery cover. Samsung includes a 2GB microSD card in the sales package.

X6 is one of the most technologically advanced member of Nokia. It comes with the impressive 32Gb built-in memory, 3.2-inch capacitive display, 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar optics and one-year subscription for “Comes with Music”.
The 3.2-inch screen of the Nokia X6 is the first to integrate capacitive one and we have to say its overall sensitivity is substantially better than its resistive counterparts. It comes with native resolution of 360x640 pixels, supports 16mln colors and as a whole, the image quality is pretty good.
The capacitive touchscreen is certainly a welcomed change from the sluggish resistive touchscreen offered by the 5800. Being far more responsive, the touchscreen provides a better and more accurate response with the on-screen QWERTY keyboard, allowing users to even drag their fingers across the screen when moving between characters for faster typing.
The Nokia X6 comes with a camera with 5-megapixel sensor. Similarly to all other high-end models of the manufacturer, it is equipped with Carl Zeiss Tessar optics and in addition, a double LED flash. We know its interface to bits from all other handsets running S60 5th Edition. As a whole it´s acceptable, but switching between the many options is slightly inconvenient. You can share snapshots over Ovi and Vox right on taking them, but additional services like Facebook, Picasa, Flickr etc are disallowed.

Motorola Milestone
The first thing you'll notice about the Motorola Milestone is the build quality - compare it to some Android phones out there and you'll feel that it's much better.The phone is noticeably thinner than before, coming in at just 13.7mm thick, which is impressive when you realise that it packs a full QWERTY keyboard into that frame as well.
The design is quite comfortable and all the elements are placed rightly as far as ergonomics is concerned. The phone is slim enough to fit into tight jeans as well. The build quality is excellent.
The MILESTONE is equipped with a large 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 480×854 pixels resolution and displaying upto 16 million colours.The first keys that you will notice on the Motorola MILESTONE are the touch-sensitive keys below the screen. There are four of them- Back, Menu (Options), Home and Search. The keys also have Haptic feedback like the display so feedback from the buttons are good.
On opening the slide, the four row QWERTY keypad and the D-pad are revealed. The D-Pad is excellent even though the design is slightly different from the normal squarish d-pads. The keyboard has good feedback even though the keys are almost flat.
The vast connectivity options include GPRS, Wi-Fi, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA, micro-USB and Bluetooth 2.1. The micro-USB copying speeds are very fast and no lags were noticed even for large files. There is 133MB of internal memory available and it can be expanded using micro-SD cards. There is support for cards upto 32GB.
The MILESTONE has very good signal reception as well as sound quality. There are no disturbances but the sounds produced are a bit hollow. You don’t need the maximum volume to hear clearly in normal surroundings.
Thanks to the QWERTY keyboard, you can send messages quickly with ease.

While most Android phones don’t have a dedicated Camera key, the Milestone indeed has one and is a welcome addition. While the photos taken in day light are pretty good there is too much noise in low light conditions.
The phone runs on Android 2.1 Operating System. We could not see MotoBlur UI anywhere. The Android 2.1 update brought several improvements to the phone. Live Wallpapers are available and are super cool but take a toll on battery life.While the company quotes a Stand-by time of 350 hours and 6.5 hours of talk time, the 1400mAh battery did not live up to expectations.
We can’t deny that the Milestone is a great device. It has more pros than cons and we would certainly recommend the device if you are in the market for a Android phone. In fact it’s the best Android QWERTY phone today and no other handset has managed to oust the Milestone from this title for several months

HTC Touch 3G
Amongst the numerous HTC handsets this year, the unassuming Touch 3G may not make the strongest impact, but it is certainly one of our favourites. The Touch 3G is a very tidy package. Below the 2.8-inch touchscreen display is a trio of razor thin mechanical keys: start and end call buttons and a five-way nav keypad. For those struggling with the touchscreen navigation, HTC have included a toothpick-sized stylus sheathed on the top right of the handset. On the back is a flashless 3.2-megapixel camera and a micro USB port is located on the bottom edge. The lower half of the handset is tapered ever-so slightly, helping the phone to nestle comfortably in your palm.
It features HSDPA data speeds(7.2Mbps) with quad-band support for GSM networks and dual-band UMTS network compatibility (900/2100MHz) - however the Touch 3G isn't compatible with Telstra's Next G network. For those looking to dodge network data charges the Touch 3G features Wi-Fi and it also sports a built-in GPS receiver with Google Maps pre-installed.
Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, the Touch 3G offers a range of business applications, with support for MS Exchange, push email, mobile versions of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint, a PDF reader, plus a few convenient touches like threaded SMS messaging.
Out of the box the Touch 3G shares 256MB of memory between applications and free space for us to store music, photos and documents. It supports MicroSD expandable memory with a reader slot located under the battery cover.

Most everyday tasks like opening contacts lists and messaging is done with minimal lag, though we did need to keep an eye on tasks opened in the background to maintain best performance.
Online applications include the Opera Mini web browser, YouTube viewer and Google Maps, and are fantastic, with each receiving HTC interface makeovers to make using them as easy as possible. The BlackBerry Torch combines both a touch screen and full QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry OS 6 brings such improvements as a better user interface, universal search, and an improved browser and multimedia experience.
The Torch's shape is a little bit BlackBerry Storm and a little bit BlackBerry Bold. We wouldn't call it sexy but the look is certainly appropriate for the corporate scene, where BlackBerrys still dominate. In its closed state, the Torch measures 4.4 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.6 inch thick and weighs 5.7 ounces. It's a rather hefty handset, but it feels very solid, with a textured soft-touch finish on back. It's also thin and short enough to comfortably slip into a pant pocket.
On front, the Torch features a 3.2-inch half-VGA (480x360 at 188 pixels per inch) capacitive touch screen. Overall, the display is clear and bright enough for reading text and viewing Web pages, photos, and video. However, compared with many of today's smartphones, such as the HTC Droid Incredible and Samsung Captivate, the difference in resolution is noticeable and Torch's screen falls a bit flat.

The RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 is a quad-band world phone featuring 3G support, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, and GPS. Other phone features include speakerphone, voice-activated dialing, smart dialing, conference calling, speed dial, visual voice mail, and text and multimedia messaging. Text and multimedia messages are now combined into a single in-box and supports threaded chat view, inline addressing and group chat. You can also instantly connect with friends through BlackBerry Messenger as well as through standard instant messaging clients like Windows Live, Yahoo, Google Talk, and AIM, all of which are preloaded on the phone.
The Torch supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, FLAC, and OGG music files and MPEG4, H.263, H.264, and WMV video codecs. To get files on the phone, you can use the Torch as a mass-storage device and simply drag and drop files.
